HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – A father and husband was found beaten to death in a north Harris County neighborhood, his family said.
Harris County deputies responded around 4:20 a.m. to reports of a man's body lying in a street, officials said.

Mauro Gaytan, 47, was said to be lying on Sycamore Wood Drive just outside a house.
The family of Gaytan believes he was hit on the head with a metal object after someone attempted to rob him.
Gaytan's family said he was leaving the house to go to work in Freeport when the incident happened.
Harris County and homicide detectives are investigating the scene as a possible aggravated assault.
