Beto O'Rourke to take part in MSNBC town hall at University of Houston

HOUSTON – The race for the U.S. Senate seat in Texas continues to receive more national attention as Election Day is exactly a week away.

Republican Sen. Ted Cruz ( R) and Democrat Rep. Beto O’Rourke of El Paso are not wasting any time and pressing on the campaign trail in an effort to earn votes.

On Tuesday night, O’Rourke will take part in a town hall hosted by MSNBC’s Chris Matthews. The cable news anchor will have a one-on-one sit down with the Democratic challenger on his midterm election edition of “Hardball College Tour.”

This will be a live show and students can watch the conversation at the Cullen Performance Hall at the University of Houston. Students will also have the chance to ask the candidate questions.

Incumbent Sen. Ted Cruz spent the day campaigning in west Texas. He made stops in Del Rio and San Angelo.

Cruz is expected to visit voters in Midland, Lubbock and Amarillo on Wednesday. His next bus tour stop in Houston is scheduled for Saturday at Goode Company on Kirby.
