BAYTOWN, Texas - Police in Baytown are looking for a trio of crooks they said robbed two teens at knifepoint.

Investigators said the boy and girl, both 17, were sitting in a car at the Barkaloo Park in in the 1200 block of El Rancho Drive when the robbers walked up. Police said one of the suspects asked the driver if he wanted to smoke. When he declined, police said the suspect then asked for directions to Garth Road.

When the teen got out of his car to give directions, investigators said the suspect pulled a knife and told him, "You're about to get robbed." He then pounced on the teen, pushed him to the ground and held the knife to his neck while he rummaged through his pockets, police said. He grabbed the teen's cellphone and around $220 in cash.

While all this was going on, police said the other two suspects, both women, approached the other teen who was sitting in the passenger's seat. One of the women reached in and grabbed the girl's cellphone, police said. Investigators said the girl got out of the car, but the crooks knocked her to the ground and beat her.

All three robbers then jumped into a white, four-door vehicle and took off, police said.
