One officer had to use his department-issued Taser before Cody was taken into custody, investigators said.

Cody was in possession of 3 grams of synthetic marijuana in a plastic bag, officers said.

Cody was taken to the Baytown jail. He is charged with assault on a public servant.

One officer suffered minor scrapes as a result of the assault, investigators said.
