BAYTOWN - A Baytown mother is accused of kicking her 10-year-old son with special needs inside a Walmart.

Abbegail Jones, 33, is charged with injury to a child.

Baytown police said Jones and her son were in a checkout line when he kicked her.  Jones then kicked the boy and dragged him out of the store and into their vehicle, according to witnesses.

Officers later pulled over Jones' vehicle on Lynchburg Cedar Bayou and arrested her.

Officials said the boy was not seriously hurt. Child Protective Services took custody of him.

Jones' bond was set at $5,000. She posted bond and was released.
