BAYTOWN, Texas - Thursday’s forecast of continued rainy and cold weather prompted officials in Baytown to cancel the town’s annual Christmas parade.
Patti Jett, a spokeswoman for the city, said that the decision to call off the parade that was scheduled for Thursday night was difficult.

Jett said events scheduled for later in the week, like ice skating, Christmas movies at Town Square and Christmas on Texas Avenue, will continue as scheduled, barring any bad weather.
