Authorities seek help in finding man who robbed Houston bank

Man told bank employee he had bomb, authorities say

HOUSTON – Crime Stoppers and the Houston Police Department's robbery division are asking for the public's help in finding a man who robbed a Houston bank.

The robbery happened at 12:30 p.m. Oct. 11 at a bank in the 4000 block of South Braeswood Boulevard.

Authorities said the man approached a bank teller and demanded money from the cash drawer.

The man allegedly told the employee he had a bomb and threatened to use it if she did not comply with his demands, authorities said.

The employee gave the man an undisclosed amount of money from the cash drawer. Authorities said the man fled in an unknown direction of travel.

Crime Stoppers of Houston described the robber as a Hispanic man who is 35 to 45 years old, 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 11 inches tall and partially bald. He wore a white tank top and black shorts.

Crime Stoppers said it will pay as much as $5,000 for information that leads to the charging and/or arrest of the robber in this incident. Authorities said all tipsters remain anonymous.
