Astros welcome new pitcher Francisco Liriano

HOUSTON – As Astros manager A.J. Hinch told KPRC2 on Monday after the trade deadline, Francisco Liriano arrived in Houston to join the team ahead of today's Game 2 with the Tampa Bay Rays.

The Astros acquired the left-handed pitcher from the Blue Jays yesterday in exchange for Nori Aoki and Minor League outfielder Teoscar Hernandez.

Liriano said he's ready to contribute to an already great Astros team.

"Just try to fit in from the bullpen to starting whatever they need me to do," he said.
