Police: Missing Haskell children found safe, parents in custody

HASKELL, Texas – Two Haskell children who were the subject of an Amber Alert on Friday were found safe and their parents were in custody, according to police.

The alert was issued for two boys who police said were kidnapped by their parents.

Police said a social worker was coming to pick up the children when Cody McGee, 26, assaulted the worker. They said McGee and Stephanie Wilson, 24, took off with the children in a 2007 black Jeep Compass with Texas license plate HBP-5873.

Devonte McGee, 8, was last seen wearing a blue shirt, blue jeans and black Air Jordan shoes.

Malakai Lara, 4, was last seen wearing a blue and red Spiderman shirt, blue jeans and yellow and black Air Jordan shoes.
