Alleged child abuse caught on camera

CNN – A woman who wishes to remain anonymous used her cellphone to capture child abuse she says unfolded in front of her in Colorado on April 30.

The woman who shot the video said it was not the first time she witnessed Katrina Kennedy abusing her 2-year-old son.

The woman said one day Kennedy punched him in the mouth because he wouldn't eat. "She said eat ... and she just walked up to him and punched him." the witness said.

She felt it would take video proof of Kennedy mistreating her child to make sure authorities would have what they need to lock her up.

Ultimately, a lost cellphone charger triggered Kennedy`s violent reaction.

"That's the only (expletive) charger I had!" you can hear Kennedy scream at the child.

In the video, you can see and hear what appears to be Kennedy`s little boy crying.

The video shows the child standing in the middle of the room, seemingly terrified.

At one point he raises his arms, covering his face.

Approximately 9 minutes into the video, you no longer see the little boy on camera, but you do see what appears to show Kennedy shaking something in the playpen.

According to the woman who shot the video, she saw Kennedy hit the boy with a booster seat and with her own hands.

"She hit him with her fists. She closed her fists and she was punching him in the head repeatedly," the woman said.

The video is a little over 16 minutes long and Kennedy`s violent rampage continues until almost the very end.

She posted the horrific footage on Facebook in hopes the exposure would prompt authorities to step in.
