$5,000 reward offered for hit-and- run driver's arrest

HOUSTON - A $5,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of a hit and run driver.

The victim, 45, was crossing the street near the 200 block of N. York Street in East Houston on Sunday, April 29. A driver hit him, and failed to stop and render aid.

The victim suffered severe head and body injuries. After the accident, he was transported to an area hospital. At last check, he was in critical condition.

The suspect's vehicle is described as a dark-colored, possible 2005 model car, with tinted windows. It has Texas license plates, numbered either ZXL247B or ZXL242B. Investigators believe the vehicle has major windshield and body damage.
