HOUSTON – Five Astros players have been named to the 2017 American League All-Star team, according to Major League Baseball
Jose Altuve, Carlos Correa, and George Springer were elected to start the game from fan votes at second-base, shortstop and in the outfield, respectively.

Dallas Keuchel and Lance McCullers Jr. were also elected through a combination of the Player Ballot and MLB commissioner.
This is just the second time in club history that five Astros have made the All-Star team in a single season, the first time was in 1994 when Jeff Bagwell, Craig Biggio, Ken Caminiti, Doug Drabek and John Hudek were National League All-Stars.
The 2017 MLB All-Star Game will be played on Tuesday, July 11 at Marlins Park in Miami, Florida.
