Detectives said on Nov. 7 and Nov. 13, the group filled shopping carts with electronics and walked out the door without paying.

Store staff members tried to stop them both times, officials said. The group assaulted the employees and escaped, investigators said.

Detectives said the group went back to the Walmart on Nov. 19 and employees recognized them from the previous incidents.

The employees watched the group load up shopping carts with electronics and walk out of the store, investigators said.  The employees approached the group and the group abandoned the merchandise and fled in a car, detectives said.

Deputies stopped the vehicle a short time later and took the four into custody.

Ernest Brooks, 58, Lawrence Jackson, 25, and Deanthony Talbert, 29, have been charged with theft. Leona Dayries, 26, has been charged with theft and two counts of robbery.

Detectives said the group may be responsible for similar robberies in Harris County.
