Man previously accused of groping at Walmart being accused of trying to grope again

SPRING, Texas – Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office deputies are investigating a groping incident at a Walmart in south Montgomery County in which the man accused in the case may be a repeat violator.

Ryan Reding, 28, is accused of attempting to grab a 10- or 11-year-old girl by the genitals and also threatening to rape her, according to court documents. Records show Reding also attempted to grab the girl’s upper arm, but she was able to break free and run to her mother.

He is being charged with attempted aggravated sexual assault of a child. Reding was already out of jail on a $50,000 bond after being charged with indecency with a child in connection with multiple incidents at two different Walmarts on Aug. 14.

In those cases, deputies said Reding groped a girl in the greeting card section of the Walmart on Sawdust in Spring. Less than an hour later, investigators said he then groped another girl in the school supplies section of the Walmart on Woodlands Parkway in The Woodlands.

Reding is due in court on Dec. 11 for an arraignment on the Aug. 14 charge.
