HOUSTON – An investigation is underway after police found a woman dead inside a vehicle in west Houston.
Police said they found Jennifer McCray's body around 8:30 p.m. Monday in the driver's seat of a car left in the parking lot of an apartment complex near Hayes Road and Westheimer Road.

McCray, 35, appeared to have been dead for at least a day, police said.
After further investigation, authorities learned McCray had been reported missing earlier on Monday.
Investigators are still working to learn more details surrounding the incident and determine McCray's cause of death.
