Homeowners on Del Monte Drive shot and killed a burglar who kicked in their back door, police said.

HOUSTON – A Houston pastor and his wife shot and killed an intruder Saturday night in west Houston, officials said.

Investigators said it happened around 11 p.m. at a home in the 6100 block of Del Monte Street.

Houston police said the intruder kicked the back door open of the couple's home. Police said both the wife and the husband grabbed their guns and confronted the intruder after they heard some commotion at their back door.
