4 men accused of sexually assaulting, drugging teen runaway in Harris County

HOUSTON – Four men are accused of sexually assaulting and drugging a teen runaway in Harris County over the past two months, according to court documents.

"There are obviously predators who prey on the most vulnerable in society and that is who we see here," said Constable Ted Heap.

Adrien Montrel Louis, 25, and Donavon Javonte Knight, 26, were arrested and charged with child trafficking. Coby Dewayne Daniels, 26, was arrested and charged with child trafficking and sexual assault of a child.

Officials said Frank Roberts III, 26, of Katy, was initially arrested for sexual assault of a child in February after a 16-year-old runaway was found in a Katy apartment. Roberts posted bond, but new information revealed in Precinct 5's investigation led to new charges of child trafficking and sex performance by a child. He was later captured and taken into custody in Washington County on Tuesday afternoon, deputies said.

According to court records, the 16-year-old girl ran away from a Houston group home on Jan. 23 and met Roberts and Daniels while they were at Greenspoint Mall. Officials said Roberts took the teen back to his apartment in Katy and sexually assaulted her.

According to court documents, between Jan. 23 and Feb. 1, the teen said she was forced to have sex with several men and had been under the influence of drugs, like Xanax and marijuana, and alcohol for several days.

"All the suspects drugged the victim with an assortment of drugs from marijuana Xanax and possibly even heroin. They would house her at local hotels outside of Harris County, where unknown men would traffic in and out of the room while she was drugged," Heap said.

Officials have confirmed Donavon Knight was part of a group called High School Takeover that would perform at Houston area high schools and middle schools, but say, so far, there is no direct connection.

"We don't have any indication at this time, Donovan Knight, Dono, was the setup man, the hype man for these events, but don't know if any of these other suspects actually attended these events with him," Heap said.

When KPRC2 reached out to the High School Takeover group, they said over the phone they are no longer affiliated with Knight. The group also said they do not condone sex trafficking and do not know the rest of the men charged in this case.

Anyone with information on Roberts' whereabouts is asked to call Sgt. O. Martinez at 281-463-6666.
