There are 10 flavors of Girl Scout cookies in our area -- S’mores, Thin Mints, Caramel DeLites, Peanut Butter Patties, Shortbread, Peanut Butter Sandwich, Lemonades, Thanks-A-Lot, and Caramel Chocolate Chip.

The annual cookie sale tradition is more than 100 years old. The sale encourages entrepreneurial skills for young girls.

If you haven’t ordered cookies yet, there’s still time. Beginning Feb. 22 Girl Scouts will be selling cookies outside retail locations. The cookie program ends March 24.

What’s your favorite Girl Scout cookie flavor? Let us know in the comments.
