HOUSTON – The Houston Police Department is investigating after a woman's body was found in Buffalo Bayou in east Houston.
The body was discovered around 8 a.m. Saturday in the 2100 block of 75th Street by a worker, police said.

Workers secured the body, which police said was in an advanced state of decomposition, for police, and the Port Authority and Houston Fire Department's dive team were able to retrieve the body.
The woman's identity and cause of death are still pending.
