Man accused of leading police on high-speed chase in stolen vehicle given $6,500 bond

HOUSTON – A man accused of leading police on a high-speed chase through southeast Houston on Friday appeared in court for the first time Monday.

Sean Stroman, 30, is being held in jail on a $6,500 bond. He is charged with evading arrest and unauthorized use of a vehicle.

The stolen SUV was being driven through fields and weaving in and out of rush hour traffic during the chase. After some time, Stroman ditched the SUV in Pearland and fled on foot.

He was eventually arrested.
