HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – Two 17-year-olds were arrested and are facing felony charges after authorities said the two lured and attacked a Houston man after setting up a meeting through an online dating app.

Melvin Johnson and Jeanette Wilson were arrested in the 10200 block of the Katy Freeway after a brief pursuit early Sunday morning, according to authorities.

Officials said the vehicle they were driving at the time of their arrest was stolen from a man last week.

Last Thursday, authorities said the alleged victim met Wilson to have sex, but after the 23-year-old man picked her up and drove with her to her apartment in the 6400 block of Ella Lee, authorities said Johnson jumped the man, beat him up and stole his car.

Authorities said they believe the teens may be responsible for other similar crimes.

The stolen car was returned to its owner, who is recovering from bruises and lacerations suffered in the attack.

Authorities are asking anyone with information to contact authorities.
