WEBSTER, Texas – A job fair is being held to help former employees of Bay Area Regional Medical Center, who lost their jobs earlier this year.
Bay Area Regional Medical Center closed its doors in May after filing for bankruptcy.

Hundreds of employees lost their jobs.
The University of Texas Medical Branch is hosting the job fair, which opened Thursday and will run through Friday. On Friday, it starts at 9 a.m. and goes through 2:30 p.m. at 200 Blossom Street.
In October, UTMB signed an agreement to lease the former building of BARMC. The facility will be renamed the UTMB Health Clear Lake Campus, with the goal of opening in spring of 2019.
