How candidates responded to midterm election results
As the elections results poured in Tuesday night, Texas and Houston-area candidates learned their fate.
Dozens of races were at stake, and voters elected top political leaders, keeping some incumbents and welcoming some newcomers.
Here are some of their reactions after learning what voters decided.
Well, it’s been fun. Good luck to @SenatorSylvia in Congress. I hope she works hard for this community that I deeply care for. Time to get to work for the people. They need better jobs, better educational opportunities, and safer neighborhoods. Good night everyone!mdash; Phillip Aronoff (@Aronoff4USRep) November 7, 2018
While we came up short, I’m deeply humbled and gratified by the outpouring of support across #TX02. I’m proud of the campaign we ran, based on common sense and civility. A heartfelt thanks to each and everyone of you who volunteered, block walked, and donated. pic.twitter.com/EvFiSNAy8Imdash; Todd Litton (@toddlitton) November 7, 2018
