Stockman, a Tea Party favorite who served two terms in Congress, was arrested after federal investigators said he funneled money from a charity he established to himself.

The federal government said he conspired with two former employees to embezzle the money. He used it to fund his campaigns and cover personal expenses.
Stockman served in Congress from 1995 to 1997 and then again from 2013 to 2015. He resigned to run unsuccessfully against Sen. John Cornyn in the 2014 Republican primary.
