VIDEO: Man steals cash, cigarettes, lighters, beer during gas station robbery in NW Houston

HOUSTON – Police are searching for a man who was caught on camera robbing a gas station on July 9 in northwest Houston.

The robbery was reported at 7:44 p.m. at Starstop 65 in the 9000 block of Hempstead Road.

Houston police said a man walked into the store, approached the cashier, pulled out a handgun, loaded the gun with a magazine and demanded money from the register. Police said the suspect also stole 60 packs of Newport cigarettes, lighters and a 24 oz. Bud Light.

The suspect was described as a black male, 30 years old, 5 feet, 2 inches to 5 feet, 4 inches tall. The man was last seen wearing a maroon hoodie, blue jeans and red and black shoes.
