Team finds what may be oldest North American hunting tools in Texas

HOUSTON – Texas researchers said they've found what could be the oldest hunting tools ever discovered in North America.

Texas A&M University anthropologist Michael Waters said the spearpoints were found in central Texas. Waters said analysis suggests the tools are between 13,000 and 15,000 years old.

If that's so, the tools are 2,500 years older than the tools found in New Mexico, which many believe to be the oldest.
