Sex offender with 'violent tendencies' removed ankle monitor, escaped halfway house, officials say

HOUSTON – A high-risk sex offender with "violent tendencies" reported removed his ankle monitor and escaped from his halfway house, Crime Stoppers said.

Richard Dale Price, 55, was staying at a halfway house in the 10900 block of Beaumont Highway.

He is currently wanted on a parole violation for indecency with a child out of Johnson County, investigators said. 

He is described as a white man, 5 feet, 7 inches tall, roughly 160 pounds. He has gray hair and blue eyes. He has tattoos on his left hand, back, chest and abdomen, Crime Stoppers said. 

He also has tattoos on both of his arms, legs and forearm.

Crime Stoppers will pay up to $5,000 for information leading to the charging and/or arrest of Price.
