HOUSTON – Houston police are looking for a person who opened fire from a car, killing a man in southwest Houston.

It occurred around 7:30 p.m. Friday near Curly Oaks and Buxley, when a silver SUV drove up in front of a home, and someone inside stuck a gun out the window and shot a man, according to detectives.

While the SUV sped off, police have surveillance video they are looking at to help solve this homicide. The video shows two men with guns getting out of an older model silver or gray SUV, shooting Sykes and then leaving in the vehicle.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Houston Police Department Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-8477.
