Life Flight called to scene of Crosby double shooting

CROSBY, Texas – Investigators were trying to determine what sparked a double shooting outside a home in Crosby Friday morning.

The shooting was reported about 6:10 a.m. near the intersection of Crosby Lynchburg Road and Dreamland Avenue. Deputies said someone shot inside a car parked in the driveway of the home.

Police said a man in the driver’s seat was shot twice and a woman with him was shot once.

Deputies said the man then drove to his parents’ house down the road on Crosby-Lynchburg and Dreamland for help.

The victim’s small SUV was seen sitting in the driveway with the door open.

Paramedics flew the man, 20, to the hospital by Life Flight helicopter and took the woman, 18, in an ambulance.

Deputies said the man was being released from the hospital Friday morning and the woman was in surgery.

Both are expected to survive.

Deputies were talking to four witnesses, one was seen handcuffed with bags over his hands.

The motive was unknown, but investigators said the shooting scene was a known drug house.
