12 to 14 teens injured in crash involving church van in Texas City, officials say
TEXAS CITY, Texas – Several people were injured in a crash involving a church van Wednesday afternoon in Texas City.
The crash happened about 3:40 p.m. near the intersection of the Lowry Expressway feeder road and Century Boulevard, according to authorities.
Officials said the passenger van was struck by an eastbound Nissan Altima that ran a red light on the feeder road.
Officials said 12 to 14 teens from an out-of-town church group were injured in the crash. They were taken to area hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries. Their ages range from 14 to 18 years old.
