FIRST LOOK: Kate, Prince William show off baby boy outside London hospital
LONDON – The former Kate Middleton, now duchess of Cambridge, and Prince William showed off the newest addition to the royal family Monday outside a London hospital.
Kensington Palace announced the birth of the royal couple's third child, who weighs 8 pounds, 7 ounces.
The palace said the child was born at 11:01 a.m., a few hours after Kate was admitted to London's St. Mary's Hospital in labor.
Prince William was present for the birth of his son, who is fifth in line to the throne.
Kate and Prince William stood in front of the hospital all smiles just hours after welcoming their new bundle.
Kate, with her face made up perfectly, wore a red dress with a lace collar and a simple pair of nude heels.
The new baby was swaddled in an all-white blanket that appeared to be lace.
Prince William appeared casual in a blue, fitted suit and a blue shirt with the first few buttons undone.
The other two children did not make the first appearance of their new brother.
