Suspected drunken driver shot twice after pulling into RV park in Highlands
HIGHLANDS, Texas – A suspected drunken driver was shot in the chest Thursday after pulling over in a mobile home park in Highlands.
Deputies said the man was seen driving along South Main on a rim before he pulled in front of an RV at the Hunter's RV Park in the 600 block of South Main.
The owner heard a commotion and went outside, police said.
The owner told deputies that the driver attacked him, so he pulled out a gun and shot him twice in the chest.
He was flown to the hospital, investigators said.
The RV owner was not arrested.
Deputies said the shooting was self-defense.
