Around 3:50 p.m., authorities said the shooter drove eastbound down Enyart and began shooting. The vehicle then turned south on Milart. Both victims were outside, near the car, according to authorities.

The man who was killed was a 27-year-old father of two and husband, his family told authorities. The other victim is in critical condition at a hospital, Detective D. Nabors with the Houston Police Department said.

Several neighbors heard what sounded like firecrackers.

Nabors said it could have been a possible gunfire exchange between both parties.

"From the evidence on scene, it might appear there could have been multiple shooters, possibly a high-powered rifle and some pistols," Nabors said.

Police said two people were seen by witnesses leaving the scene in a gray Chevy Impala.

No arrests have been made.
