1 killed in head-on collision on SH 105 in Montgomery County

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas – A 67-year-old man was killed in a head-on collision Tuesday, according to authorities.

Armando Lopez, of Conroe, was driving a Toyota truck eastbound on SH 105, just west of Willis Waukegan Road, around 5 p.m. when he lost control of the vehicle and was struck by a Chevrolet SUV that was westbound, authorities said.

Lopez was pronounced dead at the scene.

The 19-year-old driver of the SUV was treated for minor injuries and released at the scene, according to authorities.

The investigation is ongoing.
