Gunman sought in fatal SW Houston double shooting

HOUSTON – Houston police released new surveillance photo of gunman wanted in Sunday's deadly double shooting.

The shooting happened near the 8900 block of South Braeswood Boulevard in southwest Houston at La Sirena Sports Bar, Houston police said.

It happened when one of the men pulled out a gun and was asked to leave. The shooter waited in his car for the victim and another man to get in their car, Houston police said.

The victim left the bar and drove along Braeswood when the shooter pulled up alongside him and began firing his gun, Houston police said.

The victim was found dead inside the vehicle near the intersection of Forum West Drive and Forum Park Drive, Houston police said. His passenger was also shot, but did not suffer life-threatening injuries.

Another shooting victim was found alive near the intersection of Hillcroft Avenue and Sands Point Drive, Houston police said. KPRC2 was initially told that this shooting was related to the shooting on South Braeswood. Police are working to learn more about that incident.
