3 children, 2 adults injured in crash in Splendora

SPLENDORA, Texas – Three children and two adults were injured Tuesday in a crash in Splendora.

Police said a woman was driving with children in the back seat just before 11 p.m. when she slammed into the back of a van on the Eastex Freeway near Roman Forest. The crash sent her car into a concrete wall.

A 5-year-old, who was found unresponsive, was stabilized by first responders and taken to a hospital in critical condition.
    
The mother, two other children and the driver of the van were also taken to a hospital in stable condition.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
