Man shot multiple times in Jack-in-the-Box drive-thru, victim says

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – A man said he was shot in the drive-through of a Jack-in-the-Box Friday in northeast Harris County, investigators said.

According to the Harris County Sheriff's Office, deputies found the man just before 4 a.m. in a gold Buick at a gas station in the 14000 block of Eastex Freeway with multiple gunshot wounds.

Investigators said the victim reported that he had picked up tacos at a local Jack-In-The-Box when he was ambushed by a gunman from the rear passenger side of his vehicle

Deputies said bullet holes were found in the rear A-pillar, quarter panel, both passenger side, front and back windows of the vehicle. The man was shot multiple times, deputies said.

He was taken to LBJ Hospital. His condition was not immediately known.

The shooter got away.

The motive for the shooting is under investigation.
