Police: Woman kidnapped, beaten by boyfriend in West Houston

Man, woman both hospitalized

HOUSTON – Houston police said a woman's boyfriend kidnapped and assaulted her in west Houston.

Police said the man forced his way inside his girlfriend's apartment on Park Row Drive and Highway 6 and pointed a gun at his girlfriend’s 13-year-old daughter.

Houston police Detective Christopher Elder said, the man hit his girlfriend “with a closed fist, causing her multiple injuries to her face and ribs.”

The boyfriend forced his girlfriend into her car and drove to his apartment along Grisby Road and Highway 6 where he beat her up, according to investigators.

“He dragged her up to his room on the second floor of the apartment complex and witnesses saw the suspect dragging her to the apartment and called police,” said Elder.

When officers arrived, the man jumped from his apartment balcony to escape.
“The suspect tried to escape by jumping from the balcony but sprained his ankle has he hit the ground,” Elder said.

Police said the man is now in the hospital in unknown condition and the woman is in the hospital with a skull fracture and multiple broken ribs.
