HOUSTON – A woman was arrested Monday, accused of throwing a puppy off an apartment balcony, killing the animal.
It happened around 4:20 p.m. at a complex in the 8600 block of Sterlingshire Street in northeast Houston.

Police said Andrea Dasha Cox got into an argument with her significant other and started throwing his belongings over the second floor balcony railing.
One of the items she threw was a brown puppy, police said.
According to reports, Cox claimed she did not realize the puppy was in the stuff she had thrown.
Cox is charged with cruelty to non-livestock animals.
