HPD: Woman crashes stolen car into wanted boyfriend's getaway car during chase

HOUSTON – A woman crashed a stolen car into her boyfriend's getaway car during a chase, according to a source with the Houston Police Department.

It happened Monday night in the Kashmere Garden neighborhood in northeast Houston.

Police said Jameisha Kennon, who was driving the car, and Desmond Eugene, who was in the passenger seat, led police on a chase for over 20 minutes, into the Third Ward area.

During the chase, police said Eugene bailed out of the car and started running, while officers continued to chase Kennon.

After a few more minutes, police said Kennon crashed into a black, four-door vehicle. When police arrived, they said they found Eugene hiding in the vehicle that Kennon hit.

Police said Eugene was arrested for numerous open felony warrants, and Kennon was charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and felony evading arrest.

Police said Eugene had been on the run for eight months and is suspected in dozens of burglaries, thefts and robberies during that time.
