Harris County deputies said they are searching for a driver who hit and killed a man in northwest Houston Saturday morning.
Deputies said a man attempting to cross Highway 249 was hit by a silver-colored vehicle near Bammel North Houston Road around 1:30 a.m.

The driver fled the scene in the car, investigators said.
The pedestrian died at the scene, according to the Harris County accident investigator.
Investigators said they are reviewing nearby surveillance camera footage to see if they can get more information on the driver.
