Woman found stabbed to death, man killed after shootout with officers, police say


HOUSTON – Houston police officers were involved in a shooting in northwest Houston on Friday night.

Authorities said a man called police saying he stabbed his wife at 5801 North Houston Rosslyn Road. He was also threatening to kill himself.

When officers arrived, a woman was found dead, according to police.

Officers said the man approached them with a weapon and four of the five offers returned gunfire, police said. The man was struck by the officers' bullets, police said.

The man was taken to the hospital, where he died, according to police.
