HOUSTON – Police are investigating a crash that left one man dead Saturday night.

The Houston Police Department said a Chrysler 200, driven by a 17-year-old male, was traveling east on Beltway 8 when it struck a motorcycle that was traveling south on Telephone Road around 5:55 p.m.

Police said the driver of the motorcycle, a 46-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, and a female passenger was taken to Ben Taub General Hospital in critical condition.

The 17-year-old was not injured, according to police.

Due to conflicting statements from witnesses, police said it is unclear who may have been at fault in the crash, and the investigation is ongoing.
