WASHINGTON D.C. – Houston Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee took a knee on the House floor Monday.
She criticized the president's remarks and said, "That is racism. You cannot deny it."
President Trump said his opposition to the protests "has nothing to do with race," but is about respect for America and the flag.
The White House defended Trump's comments.
