Man fatally shot in front yard, police say


HOUSTON – A man was killed after being shot multiple times in his front yard Friday night in southeast Houston, police said.

The shooting was reported at 9:30 p.m. at the intersection of Merle and Pederson streets.

Police said the man was found lying in the roadway after being shot several times. The gunman fled the scene.

The victim was taken to Ben Taub Hospital, where later he died. 

Officials said the shooting was a result of an ongoing dispute between the two men.
