Pasadena to host public auction of vehicles

Event set for Saturday morning

PASADENA, Texas – The city of Pasadena is hosting a public auction to sell any extra city, abandoned or used vehicles.

The next event is set for Saturday at the city’s Maintenance Services Facility, 3124 Red Bluff Road.

You can self-register online by visiting the city’s website and then clicking on the New Users Form. Select the option that says, "New User? Register here!"

Under the “Select ID Type,” select "Drivers License,” enter your information, and then submit it.  Then you can complete the rest of the information requested and you’ll be set for Saturday.

You can check out the site for a list of vehicles that will be available for bidding. Just click on the linked date under the tab, “Upcoming Auctions.”

All purchasers are required to have a bidder’s number and must present identification and give their name, address, and phone number to obtain a bidder’s number.

After Saturday’s event, the next auction is set for Nov. 8.

The vehicle list will be posted 14 days prior to an auction date. Cars may be viewed on the day before each auction from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and the morning of the auction from 7 to 9 a.m. Registration begins at 7 the morning of the auction. The actual bidding starts at 9 a.m. sharp.

A 3 percent buyer’s premium will be added to the final purchase price. The city accepts cash, MasterCard, Visa and American Express credit cards only. Checks will not be accepted. Items are sold as-is. All sales are final.
