Mayor Turner announces $5 million donation to Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund


HOUSTON – Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner announced a donation of $5 million on Monday to the Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund.

Turner and the donor spoke to the public in the 500 block of Hallie Drive in west Houston.

The news conference was held on one of the many streets that flooded.

Turner said the donor is an immigrant who built a U.S. business empire.
