Engineers, operators, Fort Bend County and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers looked into the erosion, but determined that it was surface erosion that needed to be addressed, but was not a critical concern.

When residents heard this, they rushed into action.

Sand and sand bags were delivered to the site and a call went out to residents to assist in filling and packing the area.

The community pitched in to help their neighbors.

Residents know the fix is temporary, but expect it to be enough to help until a permanent solution is discovered.
