HOUSTON – If you see posts instructing those in danger to call 1-800-527-3907 for the National Guard, don't share it.
An online search shows that phone number is assigned to Foremost Insurance -- an out of state insurance company.

The Houston Police Department said any immediate emergencies should be reported through 9-1-1. Houston's Coast Guard office said those who need to be rescued can also call: 281-464-4851, 281-464-4852, 281-464-4853, 281-464-4854, 281-464-4855.
Both agencies urge those who are in danger to not request assistance through social media.
