5 hospitals report spike in women going into labor, possibly related to air pressure

HOUSTON – Five Memorial Hermann hospitals are reporting a spike in women going into labor this weekend, and it could possibly be due to Hurricane Harvey.

Officials said Memorial Hermann Children’s Hospital, Memorial Hermann Memorial City Medical Center, Memorial Katy Hospital, Memorial Hermann Greater Heights Hospital and Memorial Hermann The Woodlands are experiencing a spike of women going into labor.

They said it was possible the low air pressure from Hurricane Harvey is sending women into labor.
